Editor’s Note: This video, which I only became aware of today, was published on Feb. 2, 2023 and is in the Spanish language. Dongil describes in Spanish well my position regarding the principles of juridical right and the Assembly which convened to elect Pope Benedict XVI’s successor. — I share it for the sake of the historical record. — Miguel Dongil writes at his website, https://migueldongil.com/
Dear Fra Bugnolo,
I have abstained from entering the discussion because I am a complete ignoramus of Canon Law but in all sincerity I have received very good counsel from you regarding serious spiritual issues. I dare to ask if perhaps we are not leaving God aside in this matter. Perhaps we are living in a special time of history when certain anomalies or special circumstances must be fulfilled. This is a mere musing of mine, a question, not an opinion and never a ‘position’. From the grounds of my ignorance I wait for God to solve this horrible situation, to bring peace to the Church and to our world.
I heard those denigrating you. It is sad to hear invectives but it is also a way to share in the sufferings of Christ. I pray for you and hope one day there is appreciation for your obviously sincere efforts.
We are truly living in times of great tribulation for those who live the faith. All will be well in the end. Christ will arise and calm the storm.
God bless,
NP
God by His very Nature is unchanging, eternal, and that includes His Will. So His will for the Church and for each of us is also unchanging and eternal. There are no anomalies which escape that Will. If we lose faith in that, we have lost faith in God.
” Perhaps we are living in a special time of history when certain anomalies or special circumstances must be fulfilled. ”
I know very well God cannot be “surprised” since He is not a creature like us. I am myself and my circumstance. God cannot be affected by circumstances or eventualities. That was not what I wrote.
Perhaps I should put it like this:
Has God allowed the Church and mankind to experience this specific crisis? How come no one seems to see clearly what is happening in the Church and have the integrity to do what has to be done? Is there a divine design forcing us to face the consequences of what we have done with the Church God gave us? Is this a case of divinely caused blindness?
I am not being contentious. I am befuddled but I have not lost my faith in God. I know He will get us out of this. I know He is not sleeping and in time He will rebuke the storm.
We are in Apocalyptic times, I think that is the only explanation why so many are blind or incapable of embracing the truth. Either that or the Catholic world is playing video games and not paying attention to what is going on in the Church.
I most certainly agree. The proof is all around us.
