As a born and raised Catholic, I disagree with the author on this one. I believe the pope should “step up,” repent of his sins and failings to the Lord God Almighty. Confess publicly what he knows and who was involved in this past decade of scandal. Ask for the people of God’s forgiveness and prove to the human race, that there’s power in God’s mercy and it’s only through humility and a life of living sacrifice that will restore order in this life for us all.
I’ll let that be my poor cry to heavens. Come Lord Jesus!
