Bravo!!! My Mother used to take I and my six siblings to the railroad one mile away named, “The Nickle Plate” and we waved to my Great Uncle Merle who was a Conductor on the way to Chicago from Ft. Wayne, IN. I too, took my children to the nearest train tracks just to watch the trains go past at the nearest Grain Elevator. Guess we in the heartland of the Midwest from the farms were a bit behind. THAT’S NOT A BAD THING.
Hope my daughter’s friend’s parents contacted you from their farm in Ukraine as I passed your email address on.
Really love your focus upon the cities you’re visiting; how fantastic to be updated about the actual history of the areas you are visiting.
