The SSPX cut itself off from the true Vicar of Christ – Pope Benedict XVI by recognizing anti-pope Bergoglio and as a consequence they appear to have lost the grace which comes from union with Peter. Hence the diabolical disorientation affects their ability to distinguish between good and evil on questions of morality.
God help them.
Imho I think that Fellay is the problem. Swiss is he? From very early on he redirected the society away from the founder’s strong direction and beliefs in order to cosy up with his fellow freemasonic brethren in the deep church. Bishop Williamson fell on his sword in defence of no reconciliation with Rome without doctrinal agreement. Fellay led the society in the other direction. We now see the result. All for the promise of a cardinal’s hat? Who knows. Another promising catholic priestly society goes awry. It is truly starting to look like Our Lady’s words at Quito: when all seems lost, then will arrive the triumph of my Immaculate Heart. Still a long way to go yet I fear.
However holy Abp Lefebvre may have been personally, my own sense of his “order” was that it has ever been riddled with clericalism & Jansenism. Prior to the present, this sense has been borne out by its haughty condemnation of Fr Feeney (whose defense of Tradition long preceded SSPX’ own) & cover-ups of its sexually-abusive clerics. This current sell-out to ape-church tactics only serves to reinforce that lamentable estimation.
@Paul F: You are exactly correct. I personally know of a priest who was denounced from the pulpit for being too strict on “EENS” and he even asked for a retraction from SSPX superiors and never got one.
BIG BOYS CLUB! O NEVER GET A REPLY FROM ANY OF THEM! OH..BECAUSE I’M AN INTELLIGENT SINGLE WOMAN? WOMEN HAVE NO SAY? WELL THIS WOMAN DOES!! I SPEAK OUT!!
I’M A USAF VETERAN. THIS IS PREJUDICE! I GET NO RESPECT FROM THESE SO CALLED “HIGHER UPS”…TOTAL SILENCE AFTER I SENT THEM THE ARTICLE ON THIS FRENCH SSPX PRIEST! BISHOP FELLAY NEVER RESPONDED TO ME EITHER!
“No one can come to My Father, Except Through Me”, although hopefully, there will be a multitude of beloved sons and daughters, who, like The Good Thief, at the moment of their death, will recognize Christ, In All His Glory, and come late to The One Body Of Christ, Through The Unity Of The Holy Ghost (Filioque )
🙏💕.
