    St. Joseph was at the cradle of my painting career and after my wife and I prayed a novena in his honour, we both knew with certainty, that I could start painting for a living, although our four children were still young at the time, 1982. St. Joseph definitely supported me continuously, spiritually and physically in influencing the circumstances, necessary for my work. The main desire for a man however is to become righteous in the way he was. According to St. Teresa de Avila, it is never been heard, that a decent request to St. Joseph has been rejected.

    “O blessed St.Joseph, we go to you in our tribulation, and after having implored the help of your most holy Spouse, we also ask for your patronage with great confidence. In the name of the affection which united you to the Immaculate Virgin, Mother of God, in the name of the paternal love with which you surrounded the Child Jesus, we graciously beg you to look propitiously upon us the inheritance purchased with the price of His own blood, and to aid us in our needs, by your power and strength.

    Beautiful prayer. And yes, a welcome reminder it is Pope Benedict’s name day. Which reminds me of the same fact of our beloved Catholic Pope Beppo (Giuseppe or Joseph) Sarto Pope Saint Pius X, and his prophecy of the future Pope who shared his name!

  7. John Lacken the Secretary of Lumen Fidei reported the following strange occurrence at Knock Shrine on the Feast Day of St. Joseph.

    Knock Shrine Co. Mayo Ireland was designated an International Marian and Eucharistic Shrine on the feast of St Joseph 19th March 2021.

    The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass was celebrated in the apparition Chapel in Knock at 7.30pm.

    There is outdoor seating which faces the apparition chapel.

    The Apparition Chapel was blocked off from public view with dark cloth screens and black drapes to stop people from being able to watch the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass from outside the apparition chapel.

    On the Feast of St Joseph, the Statue of St Joseph was hidden from public view by dark cloth screens.

    RTE the National mainstream broadcaster were allowed in to film the event for television but the laity were only allowed to watch it online.

    In the past requests for perpetual Eucharistic Adoration at Knock Shrine were refused due to lack of resources to provide security.

    Yet today in Knock, there are security guards at the door of the parish church every day from 1.00pm to 6.00pm. They are not there to protect the integrity of the Blessed Sacrament in the Tabernacle, they are there to ensure that people comply with unjust covid regulations.
