For too many years, the world was subjected to the siren songs of “My body, my choice,” and “a person’s right to choose” (not just abortion but sodomy, transgenderism, arson, looting, whatever).
Suddenly now, we’re told that if we do not roll up our collective sleeves, stretch out our arm and get the shot(s), the world cannot be saved and our lives will be lost. Looks like, practically overnight and on cue, all the “pro-choice” jingle bells have been melted down into one big lych bell.
The Great Reset is (as Carmel McCormack wrote here yesterday) “unlikely to be successful if left up to the individual,” and the changes they wish to impose … “require reframing at the systemic level with hard policy interventions that include laws, fiscal measures, subsidies and penalties, trade reconfiguration and other economic and structural measures.”
In contrasting perspective and on a resounding note of hope, I think of the old Christmas song by Bing Crosby:
“Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy
Do you hear what I hear?
(Do you hear what I hear?)
Ringing through the sky, shepherd boy
Do you hear what I hear?
(Do you hear what I hear?)
A song, a song high above the trees
With a voice as big as the sea
With a voice as big as the sea…”
An abomination indeed, OM! Sydney Australia has just gone to compulsory mask wearing since Sunday. I’ve consistently refused and it feels good to do so. We have a petition coming before parliament to prevent private workplaces discriminating against those who wont take the vaccine. It must be signed by the 6th. Can anyone help? https://www.aph.gov.au/petition_list?id=EN2151
