  1. We visited the relic of St. Jude this year and Fr. Martins shared two stories; one was that the first bishop of Jerusalem, St. James, was related to Jesus and that Jesus had restored/setup the new Israel under his family line through this ordination of James. The other story was about his other cousin, St. Jude, and the very arm/hand we had been venerating, was sent in response to King Abagar of Edessa’s request for Jesus to heal him of leprosy, and so Jesus had pressed his face against a cloth (to leave an image) and through the Holy Spirit sent St Jude after Pentecost to take the cloth to the king who was then healed; again by someone related to Jesus and the new Israel. (It’s why Jude is long depicted with an image of his cousin’s face on his chest, his hand on a staff as a traveler, and the Pentecost fire upon his head.

    1. There is strong evidence that the shroud after the resurrection went to Edessa. This is the earliest testimony that the shroud spent many years here and that Jesus was in contact with King Abgazar.
