I read recently somewhere (forgive me for not remembering the source) that Borman was killed while escaping. He was killed near a Jewish graveyard in Berlin during an allied bombardment and buried there. Irony of ironies!
That is false. He died in Paraguay. The death in Berlin story is the narrative pushed by the Nazi Youth Leader Arthur Axemann and sustained by the West German Govt which was complicit in hiding and promoting Nazis from its very inception.
