The priest was armed with an air pistol, two knives, a cutter, and a screwdriver…..hardly what is implied by “weapons”. One commenter said that these “weapons” are legal in the Czech Republic, where the priest is from…. so this seems to be a complete nothing burger. Although we should pray for the priest who is the victim in all this.
When one enters the Vatican, there is a security check point where they scan luggage and persons. It’s obvious to anyone with a brain, that you will be stopped for carrying weapons. I have traveled in Europe and I know of no one who needs to carry weapons for personal security. This priest is justly suspected of criminal activity therefore.
