Editor’s Note: in past ages, this man would have been burned at the stake, like the Portuguese Catholic priests who married one another near the Gate of St. John Lateran at the end of the 16th century, in an attempt to get Gay marriage legal by changing praxis.  The Roman Inquisition arrested 20 of them, interrogated them, defrocked some, imprisoned others for life, and burnt 5 at the stake. And then there were no more problems like that for 4 centuries. — And yes the Mafia of St. Gallen traces its episcopal lineage back to a Bishop from Portugal. it’s not a coincidence, merely, its a 2nd go around of the same.
