Editor’s Note: The total control on all social levels led these three women out of the SSPX community and out of the Catholic Church. Having myself spent 3 months at the Capuchin Monastery as a visitor in the winter of 2004-5, I can attest to one aspect of what these three women faced. But as I am a Catholic I never found any coercion in my Faith, though personal coercion was extreme, as I was put in a cell with a 1 sq ft hole in outer wall, where I was expected to sleep and live in the deepest cold of winter, and I was continually insulted and denigrated for saying I was cold. Once I had learned enough French to understand what was being said, I realized that the Friars in the convent had an intense hatred for one another and shouting the most glaring insults at one another every day. I later round out that 99% of the potential vocations which came to them left.
After reading the article I think the key problem was most likely within the family. A child should never be able to say, “my father told me that I was no longer his daughter”. Parents need to be able to quietly suffer being ignored when their children make bad decisions….. just like the father in the parable of the prodigal child.
The SSPX must certainly inculcates mind control…. but the lady complained about all the Catholic things she was taught, so surely there is a way to live as a Catholic while not succumbing to the mind control.
There certainly is, but the SSPX which has its roots in M16 and Eastern Switzerland is all about mind control. Otherwise it would have supported canonical solutions long ago, like the Sutri initiative, which aim to help individual catholics everywhere not make them dependent upon the one offering the temporary solution.
Oh please.
That is very disturbing.
Indeed. 😥
I do not know what to do. I’ve gone to Confession to a mind control cult. This is grave. Did those who opened the windows to “let the fresh air come in” and the geniuses of the “aggiornamento” ever imagine what was going to happen?
The storm is raging around us. “Arise, O Lord, and judge your own cause. Remember your reproaches to those who are filled with foolishness all through the day. Listen to our prayers, for foxes have arisen seeking to destroy the vineyard whose winepress you alone have trod. When you were about to ascend to your Father, you committed the care, rule, and administration of the vineyard, an image of the triumphant church, to Peter, as the head and your vicar and his successors. The wild boar from the forest seeks to destroy it and every wild beast feeds upon it.” Pope Leo X, 1520
This article is very biased – not against SSPX, but against the Catholic Church as such :
QUOTE : Obviously, all means of contraception, and even worse, voluntary termination of pregnancies (abortion) , are prohibited. “The purpose of fertility is to cooperate in the divine work […]. Everything that opposes, everything that degrades, distorts fertility is sin: an obstacle to union with God”, we can read in The Praise of Fertility, a manual given to adolescent girls of the Fraternity which explains that “ the sexual act is ordered to fertility, wanting to dissociate them is not only a sin, but also an error.” UNQUOTE
What you experienced sounds like abuse. What these women experienced sounded like they want to commit mortal sin with “boyfriends” and were being stopping by their parents. I don’t understand the kidnapping part and trying to force her to become a nun. Especially since she was dating someone from the Fraternity. That part is deranged.
“ So disgusted by her upbringing that she stayed with her partner for ten years without telling him anything about her past.”
“ I had to deconstruct everything and return to normal social relationships; not to think that the other is bad, that homosexuality is a sin… ”
It is clear that the women interviewed were not interested solely in the truth. But I do not think the way they were treated is the way to treat errant children. As my mother used to say, if you talk to your children, they will understand why you believe the Catholic Faith and how imprudent it is not to. And that will do more to help them to obey God than any corporal punishment could ever do. Talk, not shout or scream. When a child knows he is loved, he loves what his parents love. There is a lot of verbal abuse among the SSPX, and that teaches children to hate what their parents love, and love what their parents hate. And thus, this article while certainly telling of a tragic result and massive loss of faith, also warns about how not to go about being a Catholic parent.
I can confirm. At least in one case I expressed my concern about certain problem to an SSPX priest. My concern was serious and I was wondering what to do about it. I was looking for some kind of orientation, counselling if you will. The priest became very serious, even irate. He cut the conversation there by saying: “I forbid you to talk about that.” The subject did not justify such response, it was nothing. I left with the idea that the priest had some personal problem with me. I never returned to the SSPX chapel after that. It seemed to me the man had some social interaction problems. So long SSPX.
These “mini-churches” within the Church bother me. Jesus gave the truth to the whole Church. He did not create an archipelago of islands of purity to exist within a disorderly and contaminated Catholic Church. I am all for keeping the true faith in ourselves, our families, our parishes, our countries. If apostasy prevails in this age is because we have failed to do just that. I am convinced Christ will come and bless those who are keeping the faith but I am not so sure that these clubs of righteousness are the way to go. Isn’t that the Protestant way of “preserving the faith”? … going and forming a cell of like-minded believers? Christians always associated around a specific missions under the tutelage and authority of the Church.
The SSPX from multiple points of view and evidence show themselves to be a mind control cult founded by NATO through MI6 and French Intelligence with funding from Nazi Banks in Switzerland. I have published several reports about this already. So the reaction you got is not bizarre for them, its totally in accord with their real purpose and scope of action.
Dear Brother Alexis: I invite all Catholics to join the nine-month novena to our Lady of Guadalupe running from March 12th thru December 12th of this year. It is signed by Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke. Blessings!
