USA: Father Jackson, FSSP confesses addiction to child porn, says was raped as a Child

Editor’s Note: It is a good day for sincerity. Let us remember that this same Father Jackson was RECTOR of the major Seminary of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter, and was the man who chose who was, and was not, to be ordained. Maybe it was he who had a hand in designing the Seminary so that each seminarian would have a shower big enough to accommodate several men at one time. And then there was the gym for bodybuilding seminarians, and lounges on the sleeping floors where seminarians could socialize at night time before picking someone up (not in the sense of lifting). Jackson was known to expel seminarians who kept all the rules he imposed. So there was definitely something awry at Lincoln. The fact that this Seminary is the center of formation of clergy from other institutes and Dioceses should now send of alarm bells throughout the Church.

Now, all those who blasted Michael Voris and his intrepid investigatory reporter, Christine Niles, for publishing information about Jackson, should publicly confess their guilt and publish an apology, which is owed, not because you like those you defamed or calumniated, but because you did in fact recklessly defend a serial pedophile. Yes, looking at child porn makes you a pedophile, since it is the same genus of moral fault as actually raping a child. You cannot delight in the pretense of doing evil, without doing evil. Though the gravity of the sin is not as great, when it does not proceed to the actual abuse of a child.

From day 1 on this story, FromRome.Info stood on the side of the truth and interpreted the facts of the case correctly, namely, that Father Jackson did knowingly and with malice of aforethought collect, keep and use child pornography on the removable hard drive of his computer.

I urged and do now urge, that Father Jackson be suspended a divinis in perpetuum, and reduced to the lay state and never again be allowed to administer the Sacraments. And the superiors who appointed him as Rector should now be excommunicated and suspended a divinis until such time as it can be determined with certitude that they had no knowledge of his vice before they appointed him Rector.

Finally, if you know of any priest or religious who attended the FSSP Seminary in Lincoln, Nebraska, while Jackson was Rector, and who appear to be effeminate or who never preach against impurity or sodomy, you should, denounce them immediately to the local Bishop on the grounds that they may have been selected by him for nefarious reasons. The laity must work quickly to uproot this evil network.

The laity should militant for the legalization of capital punishment for pedophiles who abuse children, especially when the perpetrators are clergy or religious. This will redound greatly to the honor of God and the purity of the Church. And the Church needs this badly, since it is obvious that the clergy of our generation don’t want to clean house.

For transparency, I personally denounced bizarre behavior I saw at St. Gregory’s Academy in the Diocese of Scranton in the year 2000, a testimony which helped numerous victims of sexual abuse come forward, resulting in the permanent laicization of more than half a dozen clergy, some of whom were FSSP clergy. My testimony was also cited in civil court by some of the victims who obtained a judgement of more than $150,000 in damages in their favor against those entities responsible for staffing the Academy. — For that reason, and the above, I will no longer recommend vocations to institutes which use the Lincoln Seminary, nor that men or children confess to priests who were formed there. It is too great a risk for souls.

UPDATES:

A full report by Christine Niles, include the names of the more prominent supporters of Fr. Jackson who wrote to the court asking for leniency (a list which every vocation and parent should take a look at as it may include the identities of the network of pedophiles in the Trad Movement in the USA).

  1. It is very often the case that sexual abuse of children is not reported by the victim until long afterward, often decades later, when it is too late for timely intervention and therapy to be administered. Fr. Jackson is a case in point. Also, in traditional Catholic circles, especially in his time, therapy was not viewed favorably. I do not at all defend his failure to report the abuse to someone in authority. Let’s just imagine for a moment, however, if he did. The perpetrator was a leader in his Boy Scout tribe. There would be a wave of contempt heaped upon him for daring to utter such things, however true, against his elders. He would have been shunned and gaslighting techniques would certainly be used against him. His own family would likely have scapegoated him. Whereas, he just wanted to be a good Catholic and an upright member of society. But, it is not possible to do both — to cover up one’s own abuse and to live a sincerely devout Catholic life. I say this as one who suffered abuse myself as a child. I know firsthand the horror and pain of bringing these things to light as a teenager which was, even then, still too late to bring meaningful healing to the extended network of family whom this affected.

Let the apologies to Michael Voris and Christine Niles be forthcoming and vociferous.

    1. Nothing has changed since the tragedy happened to you except now the whole world seems to believe children should be raped as though they have the capacity to consent.

  2. I only just read that Fr. Jackson is not a cradle Catholic, but nevertheless, his truth would not have been welcomed as a 10 year old boy. Despised and rejected is what he would have been. He is suffering now a delay of consequences with the additional shame from the untold harm he caused to others and to his own soul.

  3. I am so creeped out by this man I don’t even know where to start.

And the black eye on the FSSP….so so disturbing.

The fall out from this hasn’t even begun.
