Editor’s Note: Here is another fine example of the disgusting hypocrisy of a “Catholic” newspaper, which pushed the lie to the whole world, that Bergoglio, during his anti-papacy, was the Pope, but is now trying to claim it was all the fault of Yves Congar!
While this article contains a lot of information about Congar’s notion of a “different” but not “other” Church, which strongly colors the agenda of the “Synod” on Synodality in October, it presents no evidence that Pope Francis has done anything canonically, which it obviously could not even do, since it does not know the proper criteria for juridical acts.
So, yes, it is highly polemical because it wants to make the Catholic world think that the Synod will be legitimate or could in fact change the Church and maker her “different” but still the same. — But for the information on Congar, it’s worth reading, nevertheless.
As regards the personal intentions of the Pope, does it appear he intends to enact the Congar agenda? A pope is not preserved by the grace of office from having evil intentions or even from being personally or intellectually in error; he is only preserved from destroying the Church and becoming a formal pertinacious public heretic. And yes, if it looks to you that Pope Francis is skirting the very limits of the roadway, thank Christ alone that he is not transgressing them, because all the grifters who complain about it refuse to do one one thing more that Pope Francis needs: a public canonical rebuke in a provincial council. From which event, the boil would be lanced, and the Church healed.

By the way, Congar was ordained a deacon by the freemason Achille Liénart on Dec 21st, 1929 only 3 months after he ordained Marcel Lefebvre a priest.
