The Scriptural Passages that your ancestors heard at Mass before Vatican II, were edited and censored under Paul VI. Certainly God gave him no authority to do this, but some thing that repackaging Scripture to suit certain daily themes is without fault. I think when you mediate on what is left out, you will see that Paul VI, who came from a family of Freemasons, had ungodly intentions.
Once again, this is the nefarious work of notorious freemason Abp Annibale Bugnini and his liturgical revolutionary comrades in the Vatican’s liturgical offices – where Bugnini resided from 1948 until 1975/6 when Paul VI ‘rewarded’ him by despatching him to Iran as Nuncio!
The following quote from Bugnini was published in ‘L’Osservatore Romano’ on 16/03/1965:-
“We must DISCARD from our Catholic prayers and from the Catholic liturgy everything that could constitute the slightest risk of obstacle or displeasure for our separated brethren, that is, for the protestants……”
The edited/watered-down Novus Ordo [‘NO’] Scriptural passages are only part of the problem, however – there is also the monumental deception that is the ‘new’ Liturgical Calendar created for the ‘NO’ which is radically different to the ancient & venerable TLM calendar for much of the year and only coincides on some notable occasions e.g. 1st Sunday of Advent, Immaculate Conception of the BVM, Christmas, Ash Wednesday, Easter, Pentecost, Trinity Sunday, Assumption of the BVM, All Saints, All Souls.
The notion of ‘Ordinary Time’ is an innovation, a novelty, another deception; 23rd July 2023 in the TLM calendar is the 8th Sunday after Pentecost and, at Holy Mass, the Epistle is Romans 8: 12-17 wherein St Paul reminds us of our divine sonship; the Gospel is St Luke 16: 1-9 which contains the parable of the unjust steward, reminding us of our duties, for we are [or should be…!] the children of light who must not be outdone by the children of this world in zeal.
I think it is fair to say that our ancestors before Vatican II would be “turning in their graves” at the wanton destruction imposed deliberately on our liturgies in the mid/late 1960s……but even under Pius XII in the mid-50s many regrettable changes had already started……all of which were the result of various Doctrinal Warfare strategies against Holy Mother Church……!

The Mass of V2, or, The Novus Ordo( The New Form) was a construct of the Prot peritti placed in the V2 their arena as ” observers”. How many of these were secret Commie operatives and also fake prelates placed into seminaries throughout the world in the wake of the Bolshevik Revolution in1917?. They would have been ripe and ready at V2. to ” contribute” to ” the new springtime” asthe media narrative termed it. Psychological manipulation of the masses was the real reason.
