What I find interesting about this video is that it highlights how JFK was murdered for going against CIA’s strategy of tensión against the Soviet Union. Without the strategy of tensión it would have been difficult for the Soviet Union to label America as imperialist and so justify it’s strategy of infiltration and subterfuge of the West.
Exactly. They assassinated Patton for the same reason. They assassinated JP 1 because he was about to clean the CIA out of the Vatican Bank, just as they were preparing to use it to take down Poland.
Is there a book you can suggest that discusses Patton and explains the resistance he dealt with?
Also, it would be interesting for you an AJ to do more programs on the CIA’s strategy of tensión throughout the world. An obvious one that comes to mind, Israel and the PLO. Another could be Northern Ireland until the cease-fire.
On another note, and as an example of the CIA doctrinal warefare program I am sharing with you this video about the building of the new Sanctuary of Aranzazu in the Basque country, Spain. In 1950, Spain was completely isolated economically following it’s collaboration with Hitler during WWII. The US approached Franco and offered to establish trade relations in exchange for military bases on Spanish soil and more religious openness on behalf of Franco’s government. The result of the latter was the building of the new Sanctuary at Aranzazu with its most horrible architecture and art. The part related to this starts at 5:00mins. Unfortunately it is only in Spanish.
Our Lady of Aranzazu used used be the Lourdes of the Basque country. It was a very popular devotion to our Lady that was taken by Basque missionaries anywhere they would went (South America, Philippines etc). Prior to to Vatican II the Basque country produced many many vocations. 99% of the population was Catholic and it was customary in the 50’s and 60’s for pilgramages to be arranged to visit the Sanctuary. But Franco’s violation of Basque rights (suppression of the language and freedoms) while being publically supported by the Spanish Bishops, Basque terrorism (ETA) probably financed by either the CIA or the KGB and modernisms infiltration into the Church especially into the Jesuit order with its mother house in Loyola changed all that. The Basque country has been the region in Spain with the greatest losses of vocations. The Bilbao seminary used to house 700 seminarians in the 1960’s. Vocations declined so rapidly that the building was sold and transformed into a hotel and a mental asylum (I think?). The new seminary now houses about 7 seminarians….
