I wonder if for all practical purposes, was email services also shutdown? For the future, we, as citizens of any country, need to find out if any communication services are available when a government takes action like they have done in France.
If email is not available for communications, That leaves either shortwave radio, regular AM or FM stations (already regulated by government) or word of mouth.
Satélite phones might be too expensive for the common citizen.
It is reported that image sharing was shut down.
