  1. A usurped papacy, usurped presidency, usurped jobs and freedoms!
How is all this not unlike the Golden Age of Piracy when no one felt safe from buccaneers and privateers terrorizing land and sea under the sign of Skull and Bones. The highjackers and freebooters are back, ghostly heirs of the “Bandit Brethren” of Captains Kidd, Morgan, Montbar, Calico Jack, BlackBart, Drake, etc. As a few centuries ago, conditions today are just right for piracy to boom: fearless, cruel young men desperate for wealth and power, open commerce lanes with very valuable cargo, respect for no one (not even themselves), little or no law or government control, and “sanctuaries,” safe havens to store and barter stolen goods, repair, and recruit. The pirates, possessed of weapons and , essentially ruled the towns as masters and gods— which turned them into devils.
Even the mottos are the same: “Heaven, you fool? Did you ever year of any pirates going thither? Give me hell, it’s a merrier place.”
    • “In piracy, there is plenty of loot, it’s fun and easy and we are free and powerful. Who, when presented with this choice, would not choose piracy?”
    • “The good old rule, the simple plan, that they should take & they should keep who can.”

Pirates robbed and killed the natives; they burned and sacked towns. When they could not squeeze anything more out of a person or place, they boarded their ships with plunder and spoils, including “spared” captives of all ages who were offered an opportunity to work to ransom themselves to buy their freedom— when in fact condemned to bondage until death. Something like the Covid Passports, perhaps?
