Pope Benedict XVI speaks about the Secret of Fatima

Father Lombardi: Thank you, and now come to Fatima, in some way the culmination, even spiritually, of this visit. Your Holiness, what meaning do the Fatima apparitions have for us today? In June 2000, when you presented the text of the third secret in the Vatican Press Office, a number of us and our former colleagues were present. You were asked if the message could be extended, beyond the attack on John Paul II, to other sufferings on the part of the Popes. Is it possible, to your mind, to include in that vision the sufferings of the Church today for the sins involving the sexual abuse of minors?

Holy Father: Before all else, I want to say how happy I am to be going to Fatima, to pray before Our Lady of Fatima. For us, Fatima is a sign of the presence of faith, of the fact that it is precisely from the little ones that faith gains new strength, one which is not limited to the little ones but has a message for the entire world and touches history here and now, and sheds light on this history. In 2000, in my presentation, I said that an apparition – a supernatural impulse which does not come purely from a person’s imagination but really from the Virgin Mary, from the supernatural – that such an impulse enters into a subject and is expressed according to the capacities of that subject. The subject is determined by his or her historical, personal, temperamental conditions, and so translates the great supernatural impulse into his or her own capabilities for seeing, imagining, expressing; yet these expressions, shaped by the subject, conceal a content which is greater, which goes deeper, and only in the course of history can we see the full depth, which was – let us say – “clothed” in this vision that was accessible to specific individuals. Consequently, I would say that, here too, beyond this great vision of the suffering of the Pope, which we can in the first place refer to Pope John Paul II, an indication is given of realities involving the future of the Church, which are gradually taking shape and becoming evident. So it is true that, in addition to moment indicated in the vision, there is mention of, there is seen, the need for a passion of the Church, which naturally is reflected in the person of the Pope, yet the Pope stands for the Church and thus it is sufferings of the Church that are announced. The Lord told us that the Church would constantly be suffering, in different ways, until the end of the world. The important thing is that the message, the response of Fatima, in substance is not directed to particular devotions, but precisely to the fundamental response, that is, to ongoing conversion, penance, prayer, and the three theological virtues: faith, hope and charity. Thus we see here the true, fundamental response which the Church must give – which we, every one of us, must give in this situation. As for the new things which we can find in this message today, there is also the fact that attacks on the Pope and the Church come not only from without, but the sufferings of the Church come precisely from within the Church, from the sin existing within the Church. This too is something that we have always known, but today we are seeing it in a really terrifying way: that the greatest persecution of the Church comes not from her enemies without, but arises from sin within the Church, and that the Church thus has a deep need to relearn penance, to accept purification, to learn forgiveness on the one hand, but also the need for justice. Forgiveness does not replace justice. In a word, we need to relearn precisely this essential: conversion, prayer, penance and the theological virtues. This is our response, we are realists in expecting that evil always attacks, attacks from within and without, yet that the forces of good are also ever present and that, in the end, the Lord is more powerful than evil and Our Lady is for us the visible, motherly guarantee of God’s goodness, which is always the last word in history.

THESE PRAYERS ARE SAID EACH MIDNIGHT
IN FRONT OF THE BASILICA OF SANTA MARIA MAGGIORE AT ROME

This devotion is inspired by the request made by Our Lady Herself in
Bl. Anne Catherine Emmerich’s Vision of

August 25, 1822: “I know not now how I went to Rome last night, but I found myself near the church of Santa Maria Maggiore. Around it I saw crowds of poor, pious souls, in great distress and anxiety on account of the Pope’s disappearance and the agitation and alarming reports throughout the city. Led by one common impulse, they had come to invoke the Mother of God. They did not expect to find the church open, they intended only to pray outside. But I was inside, I opened the door and they entered, astounded at the door’s opening of itself. I was standing aloof where they could not see me. There was no service, only the chancel-lamps were burning, and the people knelt in quiet prayer. Then the Mother of God appeared. She said that great tribulations were at hand; that the people must pray earnestly with extended arms, if only for the length of three Our Fathers, for it was thus that her Son had prayed for them upon the Cross; that they should rise at midnight to pray thus; that they should continue to come to Her church which they would always find open; and that they should, above all, pray for the extirpation of the Church of Darkness. … I know not whether the people saw the apparition or not, but they must have been impressed by something supernatural for, when the Blessed Virgin said they should pray to God with arms extended, all lifted up their arms … It seemed to be an association of prayer.” From this time Sister Emmerich assisted nightly at the pious exercises at Santa Maria Maggiore. (The Life and Revelations of Ann Catherine Emmerich, Book 2)

(Prayers will be said in Italian, Black, and English: Blue)

In Nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti. Amen.

THE 5 FATIMA PRAYERS

Mio Dio! io credo, adoro, aspetto e amo Te! Ti chiedo perdono per coloro che non credono, non adorano, non aspettano e non amano Te! (3x)
My God! I believe, adore, await and love Thee! — I ask pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not await and do not love Thee! (3x)

O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore Thee profoundly! and I offer Thee the Most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles on earth, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference with which He Himself is offended. And through the infnite merits of His Most Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of Thee the conversion of poor sinners.

O Santissima Trinità, Ti adoro! Mio Dio, mio Dio, Ti amo nel Santissimo Sacramento!
O Most Holy Trinity, I adore thee! My God, my God, I love Thee in the Most Blessed Sacrament!

O Gesù, questa è per amore Tuo, per la conversione dei peccatori e in riparazione dei peccati commessi contro il Cuore Immacolato di Maria.
O Jesus, this is for love of Thee, for the conversion of sinners and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

O mio Gesù, perdonaci, salvaci dal fuoco dell’inferno. Guida tutte le povere anime in Cielo, specialmente quelle che ne hanno maggiore necessità.
O My Jesus, forgive us, save us from the fire of Hell. Lead all poor souls to Heaven, especially those who are most in need.

Tu la migliore offerta
che l’umanità possa presentare a Dio.
All Holy, Worthy of every honor,
Thou, the best offering
Which humanity can present to God.

Vergine Madre, Madre sempre vergine,
supplice materna al Figlio Tuo.
Virgin Mother, Ever-Virgin Mother,
Maternal supplicant to Thy Son.

Conduci sino al porto la barca della Chiesa,
scansando gli scogli e vincendo i marosi.
Bring the Barque of the Church to port,
avoiding reefs and conquering stormy seas.

Custodisci questa città;
Conforta chi vi giunge,
senza tetto né difesa,
ed estendi a tutti il Tuo sostegno.
Guard this City;
Comfort who comes here,
without shelter or defense,
and extend Your protection to all.

Con fede professiamo a Te, Genetrice di Dio;
Con amore Ti onoriamo,
Con speranza Ti preghiamo,
Ti proclamiamo beata.
With faith we profess Thee, Mother of God;
With love we honor Thee;
With hope we pray Thee
We proclaim Thee blessed.

Tu, mia Signora, mio conforto da Dio,
aiuto alla mia inesperienza,
accogli la preghiera che rivolgo a Te.
Thou, My Lady, My consolation from God,
help for my inexperience,
receive the supplication which I make to Thee.

Tu per tutti fonte di gioia,
rendimi degno di esultare insieme a Te.
Thou, who for all are a fountain of joy,
make me worthy to exult together with Thee.

Guarda l’assemblea dei credenti,
Madre del Salvatore;
allontana da loro sventure e afflizioni;
liberali dal male e dal maligno;
proteggili con l’abbondanza della Tua benevolenza.
Watch over the assembly of believers,
Mother of the Savior;
remove from them misfortunes and afflictions;
free them from evil and from the Evil One;
protect them with the abundance of Thy benevolence.

Al ritorno glorioso del Tuo Figlio, nostro Dio,
difendi con la Tua materna intercessione
la nostra fragilità umana
ed accompagnaci sino alla vita eterna
con la Tua mano gentile,
Tu che sei potente, perche Madre.
At the glorious return of Thy Son, our God,
defend with Thy maternal intercession
our human fragility
and accompany us unto eternal life
with Thy gentle hand,
Thou who art powerful, as a Mother.

Amen.

* Salus populi Romani, is Latin, for The Salvation of the Roman People. It is the ancient title of the Icon of Our Lady see at the top of this article.

Br. Bugnolo PLEADS WITH you!

IMG_20200809_100058A Great Catastrophe has fallen upon our brothers and sisters in Beirut, Lebanon. I am sure, that by now, you have all heard the news. How a large stockpile of ammonium nitrite exploded and wiped out a third of the city, making homeless more than 300,0000 Lebanese, including 80,000 children.  More than 6,000 were physically injured and more than 220 died. 50% of all Lebanese live below the poverty line, and the country is currently hosting nearly a million refugees from the Syrian Civil War.

I know that some of my 1700 regular readers are very generous and help me with my monthly expenses. And I thank you for that. But now I want to speak with all my other readers, not for myself, but for the Christians of Beirut, who will have no where to live during the coming winter, have lost their jobs and cannot afford even to buy food.

I ask you, my readers to make a sacrifice for these Christians of Lebanon. About 25% of Beirut is Catholic, and it is a city very beloved by Our Lady. Lebanon is the only country in the Mideast with a population which is nearly 25% Catholic. The Lebanese have been loyal allies of Catholics in the West for nearly 1000 years. In recent years, many have emigrated, because the Country has been devastated by civil war, an invasion from Syria, and the intrusion of the Hezbollah Militia, supported by Iran and Syria.

The poor alone remain. And they are desperate, as can be seen from the rioting yesterday in the capital.

So I ask you to make a sacrifice with me, for the Christians of Beirut. Of the monies my benefactors give for my monthly bills, I am going to donate $1000 to the Beirut Humanitarian Relief Fund. I will make this possible by tightening my belt, as it were — as a Franciscan I do not even have a belt, I wear a rope cord — during the next few months, and live very frugally.

I would ask, therefore, the 1600 or so of my readers, who appreciate FromRome.Info, and who are the silent majority, to join with me and make a sacrifice, similarly. Donate what you can to the Beirut Humanitarian Relief Fund, though this link here below. I ask you to consider $100, which is not even 25% of the monthly cost to feed a family in most countries. For those who have pension funds and investments, I ask you to consider a donation of $1000 like I am doing, though I have not these things. I ask all to remember, that by alms, given for love of Jesus, we can erase the temporal punishment due our many sins.

Please be generous. Donate what you can to the Beirut Humanitarian Relief Fund, though this link, where you can use one of more than 30 currencies including Bitcoin.

I thank you in advance, and I am sure that Our Lady will bless you for it!

Practical Advice for Busting the Scamdemic

by Br. Alexis Bugnolo

Do what I did today. Go into a supermarket with out a mask, hold your head up proudly and expect no reaction.

I did this as a test as to whether the general populace still believes in the Scamdemic.

The result?

No one stopped me, no one accosted me, no one asked me to put on a mask.

Only after the checkout, as I left, did the cashier say: Next time wear a mask, honey!

Next time?

This is a sign that the Scamdemic has failed. This was a supermarket chain found throughout Europe. It was not a small ma and pop shop.

A LESSON LEARNED IS A LESSON TO BE PRACTICED

On the way back from my victory over the NWO, this thought occurred to me.

Start a BUYER’S CLUB in your town on Social Media.  Meet in some park on different days of each week at a different hour. And then go together by foot or car to a different supermarket.

Enter in force, WITHOUT MASKS OR GLOVES.

Shop as normal.

The normal supermarket has few workers. They cannot manage civil disobedience when there are more than 12 or 20 persons at a time.

Then, go shop as normal.

If you are asked to wear a mask respond in one or more ways, saying:

1) I am seriologically immune, so I cannot infect you and you cannot infect me.  — Don’t explain what this means.

2) Or say,

a) I heard that the governor or mayor has abolished the obligation to wear a mask.

b) I heard that the High Court has thrown out the obligation to wear a mask.

c) I heard that medical exemptions have been granted for not wearing a mask. And I have one, since I cannot breathe with a mask.

In all such cases, where you have heard such rumors in your neighborhood, on social media, or in your dreams, so you can legitimately  repeat such rumours in good conscience, because in the face of a requirement to live a lie, you can respond that a probable truth is more obliging. — If asked if this rumor is true, say, I heard it, and I believe it is.

Such a manner of acting is not a lie. Because in the face of persecution, you are not obliged to answer with unambiguous statements, you can use a mental reservation. And since your interlocutor who asks you to wear a mask is acting out of a lie and therefore unjustly, you have no obligation to submit to their criteria of falsehood.

3) Or say, if you force me to violate my legal or constitutional rights, I will sue you to the end of your days.  Make this legal threat to the worker, not to the store, not to the manager. This will be effective, because the worker is paid minimum wage and cannot sustain the threat of legal expenses for years on end.

4) Or say, I personally know the owner of the store and if you insist I will see that you are fired. — Such a threat is not cruel, in the face of the demand made upon you to destroy your health. Any honest worker would not be enforcing these rules and should not be working in a business that enforces them. So you have every right to deter them from evil by such a threat.

REMEMBER ALWAYS:  Everyone knows in their heart that the Scamdemic is a HOAX.  They only fear to act on what they know. IN such cases it is morally licit to use tactics like this to dissuade them from doing the evil of forcing you to damage your health and live a lie. Also, most workers have little education, so if you use complex vocabulary they will generally accept that you know that you are talking about and they should not object.

Don’t threaten or use physical force, because that will be used to fault you legally on a basis against which you will have no defense. Threatening physical force in many countries is the crime of assault. Do not do so with words or actions. It is the legal threat which is immune to prosecution in most countries.
