Pope Benedict XVI returns to the Vatican: Illustrated News Review

by Br. Alexis Bugnolo

The press for the most part ignored the events by posting only repetitions of official press releases and images of the events. There was a complete absence of analysis. Don’t think about what you are seeing (Pope Benedict XVI recognized by all as a true Pope is), was the rule of the day.

To watch video, click the tweet above. This shows Pope Benedict XVI’s entourage arrive at the Cavallieri Gate on the S. Side of the Vatican. This video shows nothing, so its importance emphasizes the dignity of the person arriving.  The entourage goes very quickly, for those side streets. Quite dangerous in my opinion. What are they afraid of? It is not like Pope Benedict XVI enjoys the same awful reputation of Bergoglio.

Crux Magazine published the Associated Press report on Pope Benedict XVI’s return trip, click the screen shot below, to read that article:

The photos in the report make it appear that the Pope is on some medicine to give him an exalted state of mind. Those around him make a public statement of submission to the Plandemic, of course, since they are Bergoglian allies and puppets. But the AP pretends it does not see this.

Gloria.TV had a short article bashing Bild’s coverage of the event, but along with a short video of him arriving at the Airport, it appears, in Munich. the Pope is sporting a white hat. Click image to read the report. This report says, that whereas they had strength enough to concelebrate mass on the Feast of the Sacred Heart, the Ratzinger brothers were too weak to embrace one another in their final farewell. Gloria.TV does not believe the Bild report. I agree that it contradicts the statement by the Diocese that they concelebrated, unless of course one or both were seated during the mass.

ACI Stampa in Italy showed how the common people were flocking to see the Holy Father at Regensburg. Click image below to read their report in Italian. They say nothing as to why so many people wanted to meet Benedict. Nor do they report that the crowd hailed him as the Pope.

The summary of the international press can be stated briefly:  Nothing to see here folks, get back to submitting to the usurper’s mockery of your faith.

THESE PRAYERS ARE SAID EACH MIDNIGHT
IN FRONT OF THE BASILICA OF SANTA MARIA MAGGIORE AT ROME

This devotion is inspired by the request made by Our Lady Herself in
Bl. Anne Catherine Emmerich’s Vision of

August 25, 1822: “I know not now how I went to Rome last night, but I found myself near the church of Santa Maria Maggiore. Around it I saw crowds of poor, pious souls, in great distress and anxiety on account of the Pope’s disappearance and the agitation and alarming reports throughout the city. Led by one common impulse, they had come to invoke the Mother of God. They did not expect to find the church open, they intended only to pray outside. But I was inside, I opened the door and they entered, astounded at the door’s opening of itself. I was standing aloof where they could not see me. There was no service, only the chancel-lamps were burning, and the people knelt in quiet prayer. Then the Mother of God appeared. She said that great tribulations were at hand; that the people must pray earnestly with extended arms, if only for the length of three Our Fathers, for it was thus that her Son had prayed for them upon the Cross; that they should rise at midnight to pray thus; that they should continue to come to Her church which they would always find open; and that they should, above all, pray for the extirpation of the Church of Darkness. … I know not whether the people saw the apparition or not, but they must have been impressed by something supernatural for, when the Blessed Virgin said they should pray to God with arms extended, all lifted up their arms … It seemed to be an association of prayer.” From this time Sister Emmerich assisted nightly at the pious exercises at Santa Maria Maggiore. Pope Benedict XVI prays at tomb of St. Wolfgang of Regensburg, before departing

By Br. Alexis Bugnolo

It has often been remarked that Pope Benedict XVI’s decision to renounce the petrine ministry had a lot to do with his devotion to Pope St. Celestine V, the hermit, who himself had renounced the papal office 7 centuries before.

Thus, I think we should take note, that before leaving Regensburg, the Holy Father took an occasion to pray before the tomb of St. Wolfgang.

But who is St. Wolfgan?  You can read his biography (here at Wikipedia, here at the Catholic Encyclopedia).

I will highlight things about the Saint which are similar or associated with Pope Benedict.

St. Wolfgang was a Benedictine monk, and Pope Benedict XVI has often remarked of his admiration for the Benedictine Order.

St. Wolfgang undertook the difficult mission to convert the Magyars, who invaded and ravaged western Europe in his own day. Pope Benedict XVI came to Regensburg at the beginning of his pontificate to address the conflict and relations between Christianity and Islam, a topic of more urgent importance due to the rising immigration of Muslims in Europe in his own day.

St. Wolfgang, as Bishop of Regensburg, fled to the wilderness to live as a hermit to avoid a political dispute. Pope Benedict XVI, opposed by the St. Gallen Mafia on all sides during his pontificate, renounced the petrine ministry to be free of the conflicts with the Cardinals boiling over with political disputes..

St. Wolfgang died of illness.  Pope Benedict XVI’s health is now visibly failing.

St. Wolfgang was not allowed to remain in his hermitage, but was taken back to Regensburg. Pope Benedict XVI was not allowed to visit his brother but for a few days, and is now being taken back to the Vatican.

St. Wolfgang in hagiography is often depicted forcing a devil to help him build a Church. Pope Benedict XVI by his astute renunication of ministerium, not of munus, has caused the St. Gallen Mafia to reveal itself to the world, thus preparing the Faithful for the coming restoration of Christ’s Church on Earth.

St. Wolfgang of Regensburg, pray zealously with us for the Holy Father!

Pope Benedict XVI departs at Noon from Munich, for Rome

by Br. Alexis Bugnolo

His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI returns to Rome at noon. He will depart from the Munich Airport, where before departure, he will be saluted by Markus Söder, the Bavarian head of State, known as the Minister President, an honor accorded to other heads of state.

The German press is being very coy about the announced schedule, as if they do not believe it.  In fact after relying upon the official press release of the Diocese of Regensburg, and being accused of fake news, because the Diocese changed its announcement just 18 hours later, the reticence of the German press is understandable.

No one is connecting the dots. While Vaticanista at Rome were of the opinion that Benedict XVI had been driven into exile — Nota Bene: Exile in Roman law is a punishment whereby one is imprisoned or put under house arrest in a distant land with guards, not allowed to go free — Pope Benedict XVI appears to have had greater freedom of action that many suspected, and had arranged the visit on his own, without getting Pope Francis’ approval.

At any rate the German Nuncio was not notified in advance. And after the Diocese announced that Pope Benedict had no definite planned date for a return, he rushed to Regensburg to extract an announcement of an immediate return.

Those with eyes to see, who want to see, can see what is going on. Pope Benedict XVI is being taken back to the Vatican as a prison, after having escaped.

There is just too much risk for Bergoglio’s house of lies, if Benedict walks free. He might talk to someone and explain that he never renounced the Petrine Munus! Indeed, he already began to give such signs.

The Bild: Benedict will not return to the Vatican

by Br. Alexis Bugnolo

In an article entitled, La Bild: “Benedetto non tornerà in Vaticano”, Nina Fabrizio of the prestigious daily, Il Giornale, reported at their online site, Quotidiano.net, that the German press were reporting the likelihood that Pope Benedict XVI would not return to the Vatican ever.

Fabrizio’s report ran on June 20, 2020, the Saturday after the Pope’s first full day at Regensburg.

I report about this now, because as in all things at the Vatican, the precise historical sequence reveals what is really going on in the Vatican.

The Bild was criticized for exaggeration, notably by Seewald, the official biographer of Pope Benedict XVI, who called it “nonsense” but gave no explanation for his comments.

But the Diocese of Regensburg was the source for Bild’s report, since on the day after his arrival in Germany, the Diocese issued an official press release in which it was said that Pope Benedict had set no date for his return to the Vatican.

Here is an English translation of the official press release of the Diocese, published on June 19, but updated on Saturday June 20, at 17,00 AFTER the Apostolic Nuncio had arrived on the scene:

It’s a surprise visit to the hospital bed. Pope emeritus Benedict XVI flew from Rome to Bavaria this morning to be at the side of his seriously ill 96-year-old brother. It is perhaps the last time that the two brothers, Georg and Joseph Ratzinger, will see each other in this world.

The Diocese of Regensburg asks the public to leave this deeply personal encounter in its private setting. It is a heartfelt wish of the two elderly brothers and does not tolerate photos, public appearances or encounters that go beyond that. Please have understanding for this.

All people who wish to express their sympathy are cordially invited to say a silent prayer for the two brothers. Bless them.

The 93-year-old Pope emeritus landed in Munich on Thursday, June 18, at about 11:45 a.m. There, Bishop Rudolf Voderholzer welcomed him warmly and accompanied him on his onward journey to Regensburg. The pope emeritus lives in the seminary of the diocese of Regensburg. The date of his return journey is not yet fixed.

Benedict XVI is travelling in the company of his secretary, Archbishop Georg Gänswein, his doctor, his nurse and a religious woman. The Pope emeritus made the decision to travel to his brother in Regensburg at short notice, after consulting with Pope Francis.

Note that by “surprise visit”, the Diocese admits it was not informed beforehand, as would have been the duty of the Vatican Secretary of State to do. However, though this release was updated after the arrival of the Vatican Nuncio on Saturday it significantly still affirms that no date of return has been determined.

The Nuncio seems also to have been surprised by the visit, since it took him 2 days to arrive, when he should have been at the airport to greet Pope Benedict XVI.

However, within 18 hours, of the update of this Official Diocesan Press Release, the FaceBook page of the Diocese was announcing that the Pope would return to Rome on Monday!

So if there is anyone wondering where the confusion is coming from, it is pretty clear that it was not the German press nor the Italian press.

But only those with eyes to see, who want to see, can see it.
