  2. Hard to believe that Cardinal Pell spent 23 hours a day in solitary confinement for 406 days!
    I worked for many years in the federal prison system in Canada where “solitary ” is now seen as cruel and unusual punishment.
    And yet, George Pell emerged sane and forgiving to his captors. To me that speaks to sainthood.
    Yes Frank, wouldn’t it be amazing to have a Pope like Pell?
    Maybe that is the kind of divine intervention we need to resolve the schism in our Holy Church?
